Riley had the all American childhood. He was good at all kinds of sports from an early age, excelling at anything and everything and especially things that included running. It wasn't until years later that he discovered his ability to move at superhuman speeds and well... he might've used that to his advantage. If anyone asked, he was just really fast. If his sister said anything, then she was just crazy. Riley played soccer, football, and track in high school, earning himself a full-ride scholarship because of his soccer career. He was popular in high school, something that carried over to his college career. He was kind of a ladies man too, preferring the chase most of the time to an actual girlfriend. That was until he almost kicked a soccer ball into the face of one Lenny Goncalves, a photographer from the school paper. He could admit that she was his first girlfriend. The relationship was cut short though, before any deep bonds could be formed by his little sister's antics. The college they both attended found out that he'd lied about something on their applications, in relation to their parents who had died when Riley was eighteen in a car crash (and is something that he never ever wants to talk about, no matter how much you may think that he needs to). April, as she was known then met with a woman named Marley Chambers who promised that she could help fix the siblings' problems and one thing led to another and it ended with the Company scaring the crap out of his sister and forcing the two of them to drop everything and run or become one of the Linderman's pets. Riley changed his name to Riley (he was known as Spencer for most of his life) and wasn't able to graduate from college because of the incident. He had to leave all of his friends and semi girlfriend and what really irked him the most, he had to miss his final and what promised to his best season. | |
